Description
This is an incredibly clean and very early Pre Ernie Ball Music Man Sabre Bass. This is also All Original (other then a new set of foam mute pads) and includes a Near Mint Original Hardshell Case. This is basically the perfect Sabre Bass.
This has a Natural finish on the body with a Maple Neck and Fretboard. The Pickguard is black and the hardware is chrome.
The bass weighs 9 pounds 14.6 ounces.
The Sabre Bass was introduced sometime in the late Spring or Early Summer of 1979. This is a June 1979 so this is also super early for a Sabre. Plus this is the original case and the case is basically in new condition. This bass is exceptional.
Condition
This bass is mint except for a spot in one of the cutaways which is tiny and pictured. There is a bit of minor finish cracking there likely from the neck being taken off. This bass is mint otherwise and that is a tiny spot. The finish looks fantastic, this is a really nice example of a Black Pre Ernie Ball Stingray Bass.
All of the hardware is super clean and is essentially glowing. The frets are in fantastic shape also. The case is outrageously clean.
This is a one of the nicest Pre Ernie Ball Sabre Basses that exist and is set up and ready to go!
